Artwork is a great way to liven up your home and help balance the energy of a room, but there is one very important thing to take into consideration when choosing a piece for display.
We already established that you must LOVE the piece for this reason, however, sometimes love just doesn’t cut it.
Sometimes love hurts.
And no matter how besotted you are by it and no matter how much love you may feel for it, just be wary as it’s probably running around behind your back betraying you in ways you couldn’t even imagine.
Oh yes, the artwork.
Not only do you need to think about the feeling that something evokes, you should also think about what it represents because your home and everything in it is a reflection of your life.
When it comes to paintings and artwork, make sure they depict something positive!
For example, even if you spent hundreds of dollars on that piece by that up-and-coming artist featuring a lonesome girl by the water’s edge that you think expresses her struggle with inner turmoil just perfectly, I beg of you, please reconsider.
What do you think it’s going to manifest in your life?
Think about replacing it with something else; something that will evoke a more positive energy. What about a painting of an attractive looking couple dancing the Samba who look as though their lives just couldn’t get any better!
(Not too sure where you’d hang something like that, but you get the idea)
